How to choose beekeeping clothing
For a beginner we recommend a full bee suit with a detachable veil — it protects the whole body and gives you confidence around the bees. Experienced beekeepers often prefer a jacket or smock with a veil on warm days. What matters most: dense fabric, sting-proof zips and a veil with clear visibility. Cotton breathes best; poly-cotton blends are lighter and dry faster, and ventilated suits keep you cool in summer.
Sizing and care
Choose your bee suit one size larger than your everyday clothes — it must fit over clothing without stretching tight against the skin (bees sting through taut fabric). Wash with the zips open and the veil removed, and never fold the veil mesh.
