Clean honey without the wax crumbs

Honey straight from the extractor always carries wax particles — a strainer catches them. A double stainless steel sieve sits on the settling tank: the coarse mesh stops the wax chunks, the fine mesh the rest. For retail bottling, finer nylon filter bags do the polishing. One caution: don't over-filter — pollen is part of what makes honey valuable.
