The hive tool — a beekeeper's best friend

Bees glue everything down with propolis, so nothing moves in a hive without a hive tool: it levers up stuck frames, splits boxes apart and scrapes off wax and propolis. The classic American-style tool has a flat blade and a bent scraper end; multi-purpose versions add a hook for lifting frames. Stainless steel means the tool can be disinfected between apiaries.
