Who is a tangential extractor for?

In a tangential extractor the combs face the drum wall, so only one side spins out at a time — after the first pass you turn the frames by hand. In return you get the simplest construction, easy cleaning and the lowest price of any extractor type. A tangential honey extractor is the right buy if you keep up to 10 colonies or are just starting out. For a larger apiary we recommend a radial or self-turning cassette extractor.
