A strong frame carries a full comb

A well-prepared frame survives both a comb full of honey and the spin of the extractor. Wire your frames with stainless steel wire — it never rusts or stains the wax. Eyelets protect the frame wood from the tensioned wire cutting in, and a wire tensioner brings the wire to guitar-string tightness so the foundation stays flat. Embed the foundation with an electric embedder or a spur embedding wheel.
