DISOPRESS is a professional, compact unit that combines the Giordan vibrating heated-knife uncapping machine (code 170K) and a wax cappings press in one system.

The unit is made entirely of food-grade AISI 304 stainless steel and is designed to automate frame uncapping and honey recovery from wax cappings.

Uncapping system

Frames are automatically guided between two vibrating knives heated with hot water. This system ensures precise and clean cutting of wax cappings.

Unlike some other technologies, the wax cappings are not shredded — they are cut off as when working with a manual uncapping knife.

By additionally installing the double-knife kit (ordered separately), there is no longer any need to manually check and re-uncap the frames after the first pass.

The knives are heated by an integrated hot-water heating and recirculation system, which is included as standard. The knife temperature is controlled by a thermostat.

Because the knives operate inside the wooden frame as well, even partially filled combs can be uncapped cleanly.

The knife gap is adjusted quickly and easily with a special lever on the side of the unit. It allows you to set the gap for combs of different thicknesses.

Once the operator manually feeds the frame, the system automatically guides it between the knives and ensures even, systematic uncapping from both sides.

Integrated wax cappings press

After uncapping, the removed wax cappings automatically fall into the press mounted under the machine.

The press is made of AISI 304 stainless steel and works on the principle of cold pressing. The unit uses a perforated cylinder with a screw conveyor (auger) that compresses the wax cappings.

The system immediately separates:

honey;
wax.

In this way, up to 90 % of the honey can be recovered in a very short time, without transferring the wax cappings to other equipment.

The press has a convenient control panel with variable-speed auger controls. The variable-pitch auger allows the pressing process to be optimized according to the quantity and properties of the product being processed.

Note

The standard version of the unit is made for Dadant Blatt type frames. At the customer's request, upon providing exact dimensions, the unit can be adapted to other frame types as well.
