More than a queen bee incubator – a 3‑in‑1 solution

FIEM APICOLTURA series incubators are innovative, versatile units for beekeepers that combine three functions in a single device:

  • Queen bee incubation.

  • Pollen drying.

  • Honey decrystallization.

Thanks to this multifunctionality, the FIEM incubator is an excellent investment for professional beekeepers aiming to streamline work in the apiary.

Features and benefits

Queen bee incubation

The incubator allows you to complete the queens’ development cycle from about the 5th day after queen cell capping right up to the eve of emergence, ensuring stable, optimal developmental conditions.

This method is widely used by professional breeders, as it enables precise scheduling of queen emergence even under unfavorable weather conditions.

With the incubator:

  • queens can be marked before introduction into beehives;

  • queen rearing work is easier to plan and organize;

  • requeening in the apiary is simpler to manage.

For best acceptance, it is recommended to introduce the queen into a hive no later than 4 days after emergence.

Pollen drying

The incubator can be fitted with special food‑grade shelves with fine mesh, allowing efficient drying of collected pollen prior to packaging.

This helps to:

  • preserve pollen quality;

  • reduce moisture content;

  • ensure a longer product shelf life.

Decrystallization of crystallized honey

When set to 40 °C, the incubator becomes a honey decrystallizer.

You can place in the chamber:

  • jars;

  • buckets;

  • other honey containers.

Slow, controlled heating allows you to:

  • liquefy crystallized honey;

  • preserve natural nutritional properties;

  • maintain flavor, aroma, and enzymes.

Honey crystallization is a completely natural process that most often starts when honey is stored below 14–15 °C. The incubator allows you to return honey to a liquid state without compromising its quality.

Key features

  • Cabinet made of PVC and steel thermo‑insulating panels with polystyrene fill.

  • Forced air circulation with an electronic fan ensures uniform temperature throughout the chamber.

  • Internal LED lighting for convenient monitoring.

  • Integrated thermometer.

  • Humidity tray included.

  • Adjustable internal shelves to suit individual needs.

MINI LED ADVANCED thermostat

All models are equipped with the next‑generation MINI LED ADVANCED thermostat with microprocessor control and an auto‑calibrating temperature and humidity sensor.

The system provides highly accurate microclimate control:

  • temperature accuracy – ±0.1 °C;

  • relative humidity accuracy – ±1.5 % RH.

Main functions

  • ON/OFF temperature control.

  • 3‑digit LED display.

  • Temperature display in °C or °F.

  • Humidity monitoring.

  • Ability to control an external ultrasonic humidifier.

  • Digital calibration of temperature and humidity sensors.

  • Optional Wi‑Fi module for remote monitoring and control from a smartphone.

Optional equipment

Can be supplied with:

  • a wet‑bulb (Wet Bulb) hygrometer for precise humidity measurement;

  • painted steel shelves;

  • professional adjustable, removable drawers;

  • an automatic ultrasonic air humidification system.

Operating recommendations

Before use, it is recommended to switch on the incubator at least 24 hours in advance to verify stable temperature maintenance.

Recommended settings:

  • temperature – 33.3 °C;

  • the fan runs continuously to maintain uniform temperature throughout the chamber.

Queen cells are kept in the incubator until the day before queen emergence. If necessary, special holders can be used to collect emerged queens.

Safety

  • The devices comply with European Union electrical safety requirements.

  • The control panel is mounted on the outside of the cabinet, so electrical components are protected from moisture and condensation.

FIEM incubators for professional beekeeping

FIEM queen bee incubators are modern, precise, and versatile devices designed to ensure optimal conditions for queen development. Thanks to advanced temperature and humidity control, robust construction, and the ability to tailor equipment to individual needs, they are ideal for both professional queen breeders and advanced beekeepers.
