Oxalic acid vaporization in the broodless period kills up to 95–97% of mites and, unlike dribbling, can be repeated several times without harming the bees. The vaporizer slides in through the entrance; the acid sublimates and settles evenly over every bee. Battery-powered models are ideal for larger apiaries — no cables to drag around. Always wear a respirator when vaporizing.
