InstantVap 18V Turbo: fast and efficient sublimation

Want to speed up sublimation treatments for your colonies? InstantVap 18V Turbo is a powerful battery-powered vaporizer designed for intensive work. Thanks to the 18 V battery, there are no cords or external power source needed. The robust stainless steel construction allows the device to stand stably wherever you place it.

Operator convenience is ensured by dynamic temperature control and an improved dosing system. The thermally insulated dispenser helps maintain stable operation even in cooler weather, and the amount of active substance can be easily adjusted within 1–4 g without any tools. A practical solution is the sturdy 6 mm diameter brass outlet tube with a straight design, without unnecessary bends that could increase the risk of clogging. If needed, the tube can be easily cleaned along its entire length.

How does Turbo differ from previous versions?

The Turbo version is built for speed. Compared with the Original model, it has a more powerful 400 W heating element, which allows it to reach operating temperature very quickly. In practice, this means that sublimating a 2 g dose can take about 10 seconds (at 260 °C).

For experienced beekeepers, an advantage is the ability to tailor working parameters to their procedures and apiary conditions.

Temperature 260 °C: speed and process cleanliness

The manufacturer chose this temperature based on tests that analyzed the behavior of the sublimated substance at different temperatures to find an optimal balance between vaporization speed and chemical stability.

Why 260 °C?

• High efficiency – at 260 °C the vapor contains a large fraction of the active substance (up to 73 %), which helps achieve the desired treatment effect.

• Cleaner sublimation – under these conditions, decomposition into unwanted byproducts is reduced. At higher temperatures (e.g., 290 °C) efficiency can drop to as low as 39 %, and the amount of residue increases.

• Time saving – at 230 °C vaporization can take about 25 s, but at 260 °C it shortens to roughly 10 s, which is especially important when treating a larger number of hives.

Power supply and compatibility

The device operates at 18–20 V (depending on the battery used). To protect the battery, InstantVap has an over-discharge protection system – when the voltage drops to 15.4 V, the device switches off automatically.
