The hive is made of reinforced polystyrene, which has very good thermal insulation properties while remaining lightweight. In such hives, bee colonies winter well and develop rapidly in spring. However, it is very important to ensure proper ventilation of the hive.

For this reason, ventilation openings are installed in the hive bodies and roof during production. They can be covered with mesh-protected ventilation plugs that prevent pests from entering, or closed with special caps.
